ZKM at Invisible Garden, ZK Hub & Devcon
Share on

The ZKM team began our journey in Thailand by establishing a strong presence at @invisiblgarden, an @Ethereum and ZK-focused developer hub in Chiang Mai. They delivered a series of talks and workshops to showcase ZKM’s technology and its potential applications to the local community.

Following their activities at Invisible Garden, the team moved on to @Zk_Hub_Global and @EFDevcon in Bangkok. Their booth drew substantial interest, and the exclusive ZKM & @GOATRollup merchandise became a crowd favorite. Discussions centered around zkMIPS's diverse use cases, generating excitement for the panels that were to follow.

Pavel joined by speakers from Lagrange, Risc Zero and Succinct

At ZK Hub, @pavel_sinel took centre stage multiple times, moderating panels on proving infrastructure and benchmarking standards, among other topics. Pavel also presented on the main stage and led technical workshop sessions, contributing significantly to discussions about key zero-knowledge (ZK) concepts. He then led a noteworthy panel at Devcon Tech Track, which covered emerging technical challenges and opportunities within the ZK landscape. This panel featured key figures in the ZK ecosystem: Raza Zaidi (Head of Growth at Scroll), Cecilia Zhang (Engineer at Taiko), Brandon Kase (CEO at o1Labs), and Ismael Hishon-Rezaizadeh (Co-Founder and CEO at Lagrange). Other ZKM team members also joined the event, offering their insights

ZKM Chief Scientist @DacEconomy made significant contributions during ZK Hub, including a main stage interview and participation in multiple panels, such as an engaging discussion on zkVM design alongside RISC Zero and other major zkVM developers. Ming also delivered a presentation covering ZKM's origins, mission, and vision, providing a deeper understanding of the foundation of their work and future direction.

Ming participated in a heated debate with speakers from Risc Zero, Miden, Lita and o1 Labs

At Epic Web3's L2 Con, Ming further contributed to the discourse by joining a panel to discuss emerging challenges in blockchain infrastructure, offering valuable perspectives on scaling solutions.

@alicelingl added to the ZKM presence with insightful interviews conducted on both the ZK Hub main stage and in the House of ZK podcast room. She hosted a range of guests, including Uma Roy, Brandon Kase, and Ismael Hishon-Rezaizadeh, engaging in discussions on ZK and its broader implications. Alice also delivered a presentation at ZKM’s ZK Hub event, providing an overview of zkMIPS and its proving network.

The ZKM presence at ZK Hub also featured the launch of the House of ZK Magazine. The first edition, with contributions from ZKM's Ming Guo, @kevinliub, and @0x1164, alongside articles from projects like RISC Zero, Aleo, and o1Labs, was well received. This kept attendees engaged and highlighted ZKM's expertise.

@sd_eigen, ZKM's Developer Lead, conducted workshops and participated in a panel on optimal solutions for Bitcoin scaling, alongside representatives from Citrea, Fiamma, and LayerEdge. He also discussed how zkMIPS can contribute to enabling L2 solutions, such as GOAT Network, on Bitcoin.

Continuing the theme, Pavel Sinelnikov gave a joint presentation with @ChaoticBeautys from GOAT Network, demonstrating GOAT's use of ZKM’s zkMIPS to build a sustainable yield-generating L2 solution on Bitcoin. ZKM Senior Researcher @zklucas_ also contributed at ZK Hub, presenting on both the main stage and at ZKM’s dedicated event. Lucas shared insights from ZKM’s zkMIPS whitepaper during the Whitepaper Reading Club event.

Professor Jeroen van de Graaf on the ZK Hub main stage

To conclude ZK Hub, ZKM Senior Cryptographer Jeroen van de Graaf delivered the final main stage presentation, discussing cross-chain asset transfers without traditional bridges, emphasizing improved security and efficiency in cross-chain interactions. His talk prompted extensive discussions among the audience during the break.

The ZKM team's efforts culminated at the House of ZK 'Zero-Knowledge & Chill' event, held in collaboration with Polygon, Dabl Club, and EduDAO. The relaxed environment was ideal for sharing their vision of advancing ZK technology and connecting informally with the community.

With Devcon concluded, the ZKM team headed to a dedicated training camp where we worked to refine our vision and strategies to propel ZKM forward. With a focus on continual improvement, we’re committed to enhancing our contributions to the ZK and blockchain ecosystems.

ZKM alongside other eco-nodes of the Metis Foundation

A huge shout-out to @IrynaMetisFest, the mastermind behind ZK Hub, who planned, organized and orchestrated this incredible event, with support from Ben Wynn. Their dedication ensured that everything ran smoothly and effectively, making ZK Hub a massive success for everyone involved.

In terms of upcoming events, we’ll be preparing for the next (yet unannounced) @HouseofZK Virtual Conference and planning for a very big and special event at @EthereumDenver.

Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend!
