This month has been packed with significant events, groundbreaking research, and impactful collaborations. From hosting our own sessions at the House of ZK Virtual Conference and releasing major research pieces, to making big strides at ETHGlobal San Francisco, we have plenty of highlights to share.
Without further adieu, let’s explore our latest news, achievements, and upcoming events.
We partnered with House of ZK and StarkWare for the first HoZK Virtual Conference.
ZKM's Alice Liu did an incredible job hosting the event, conducting an insightful interview with Eli Ben-Sasson, before an enlightening presentation by Justin Drake.
ZKM presented an extensive zkMIPS workshop with Pavel Sinelnikov, Stephen Duan, and Lucas Fraga, covering the many different fascets of zkMIPS, and was later followed by a presentation from Jeroen van de Graaf on ZKM's Entangled Rollup design.
The event was a huge success, thanks in no small part to Ben Wynn for planning and orchestrating the Conference. Additional thanks to Iryna Chekhova of the Metis Foundation for support in planning.

ZKM released a new research paper by Senior Cryptographer, Jeroen van de Graaf, in collaboration with the ZKM research team, further elaborating on the concepts introduced earlier this year in ZKM's Entangled Rollup Litepaper.
The paper, titled 'Cross-chain asset transfer from zk rollups without additional security assumptions', details advanced mechanism designs for addressing the challenges involved in enabling trustless blockchain connectivity: https://whitepaper.zkm.io/entangled_rollup_(wp).pdf
ZKM also published the second part of Professor Jeroen’s article series 'Cross-chain Asset Transfer Without a Bridge', which represents a lighter version of the aforementioned research paper: Cross-chain Asset Transfer Without a Bridge - Part Two
This month's ZK Spaces featured two insightful MasterClass X Spaces:
ZKM's Pavel Sinelnikov and his team built Zend It - a developer tool enhancing secure and transparent blockchain transactions - which won the Ledger 1st Prize and Polygon Best zkApp at ETHGlobal 2024 San Francisco!
A key influencer in the Asia blockchain community, Haotian CryptoInsight (@tmel0211), mentioned ZKM in multiple content pieces, highlighting how ZKM is building a tech stack optimized for Bitcoin Layer 2 development.
He discussed the testnet launch of GOAT Network - the first Bitcoin L2 to share network ownership and offer sustainable BTC yield - demonstrating a new architecture designed to fill a major gap in the industry by providing a natively secure, yield-generating solution on Bitcoin.
He also highlighted how ZKM is working towards a new paradigm, aiming to eliminate the division between chains and create a unified liquidity ecosystem. GOAT Network is set to demonstrate the potential of ZKM's tech stack, starting with solving Bitcoin's biggest challenges like natively secure scaling and sustainable yield generation, eventually forming an Entangled Rollup network with zkMIPS at its core.
ZKM was featured in Version 2 of the House of ZK Infrastructure Map, highlighting ZK pioneers across past, present, and future. This updated map includes 42 projects recognized for their innovative approaches and significant contributions to the ZK space.
In an insightful interview hosted by Alice Ling, Ming Guo, Co-Founder and Chief Scientist at ZKM, shared his journey from aerospace to blockchain, the inspiration behind the DAC Economy, and his vision for the future of decentralized economies.
Ming discussed how blockchain can move beyond speculative behavior, the importance of recognizing unaccounted forms of value, and creating an economy that empowers individuals through privacy, smart contracts, and zero-knowledge proofs.

ZKM's Developer Lead, Stephen Duan, hosted a workshop as part of the zkMonk Bootcamp, where he covered the fundamentals of zkVM and gave an introduction to building with zkMIPS.
This session provided attendees with valuable insights into zkVM architecture and practical guidance for using ZKM’s zkMIPS in development projects.

We kicked off with 'From Solidity to ZK with ZKM,' co-hosted with Venture Miner. The event featured insightful presentations from Alice Ling, Ming Guo, Pavel Sinelnikov, and Dylan Kawalec:
ZKM's Ming Guo shared the vision behind the entangled rollup network, before Dylan Kawalec introduced GOAT Network.
Pavel Sinelnikov led an interactive workshop on minting an NFT with a valid proof and proving a SHA256 hash using zkMIPS.
Special thanks to Matheus Pagani for his help in organizing and coordinating the event!
ZKM's Ming Guo, Alice Ling, and Pavel Sinelnikov were also at UC Berkeley, presenting an introduction to ZK and zkMIPS at the Dabl Club ZK Buildathon.
Later in the day, Pavel led a brainstorming session on zkVM use cases and conducted a live demo on using zkMIPS to prove and verify a SHA256 hash.
This month, House of ZK released five insightful podcasts featuring prominent figures in the Zero-Knowledge ecosystem:
Hosted by ZKM’s Alice Liu and Pavel Sinelnikov, each of these episodes dives into the guests' journeys, their projects, and their contributions to the ZK space. You can find all these episodes on Spotify and YouTube:
