This event, consisting of technical workshops and debates centered around the latest innovations in ZK, was co-hosted by ZKM and Aleo, and co-organized by IC3, Stanford CBR, and Berkeley RDI. Notable experts like Jeroen van de Graaf, Lucas Fraga, and Alex Pruden shared their insights about topics such as Entangled Rollups, zkMIPS architecture, and BitcoinL2 zkVM-Powered Native Security, before the day concluded with a lively Happy Hour, offering a perfect opportunity to network and relax after a day of intensive discussions.

Hosted by ZKM’s Cat Anderson and Alice Liu, this episode features a deep-dive discussion with Ming Guo, Chief Research Scientist at ZKM. Ming explained his DAC Economy perspective, his vision for a decentralized, self-sustainable economy, and insights into his work on various blockchain-centered projects. A recent discussion on X, initiated by Vanishree Rao, has sparked a lively debate about the performance comparisons between zk circuits and zkVMs. ZKM's Lucas Fraga, Wei Dai and other industry experts contributed their insights, emphasizing the importance of balancing performance with development complexity and the future of zkVMs in mainstream adoption. The discussion highlighted that while zkCircuits offer higher performance for specific, low-level tasks due to optimized logic, zkVMs provide broader applicability and ease of development for complex applications.
